As a mom and a doula, I’ve tried my fair share of baby carriers, and I’ve found a few favorites that I keep reaching for. With my own baby, I’ve tested these carriers in real-life, everyday situations—whether it’s wearing him around the house, out on errands, or during long walks to the park. Each one has its own strengths, and what works best really depends on the stage your baby is in, your comfort, and your lifestyle. Below, I’m sharing my top picks, along with their pricing, pros and cons, and helpful details.

Solly Baby Wrap

The Solly Baby Wrap is a long, soft, stretchy fabric designed to wrap around the wearer, providing a snug hold for infants. It's suitable for babies from 7 to 25 pounds. This was my go to carrier in the early months with my baby.

Price: Approximately $74.00 to $84.00, depending on the design.

Pros:

  • Lightweight and breathable material

  • Suitable for newborns and small infants

  • Easy to pack

Cons:

  • Steeper learning curve for wrapping correctly

  • Limited to front, inward-facing carry

Happy Baby Wrap

The Happy Baby Wrap is a soft, stretchy wrap designed for infants. It offers a snug fit and is made from lightweight, breathable fabric. Similar to the Solly Baby Wrap just a slightly different stretch.

Price: Approximately $48.00

Pros:

  • Lightweight and breathable material

  • Suitable for newborns and small infants

  • Easy to pack

Cons:

  • Steeper learning curve for wrapping correctly

TIP: For both wraps, they’re ideal for those early snuggly months when babies want to be held constantly, but as they grow, you may find yourself transitioning to a more structured or woven carrier for better support.

Lalabu Simple Wrap

The Lalabu Simple Wrap offers the comfort of a traditional wrap without the complexity. It features a clip at the waist and straps for the shoulders, allowing for easy wearing.

Pros:

  • Simplified design eliminates the need for complex wrapping

  • Soft and comfortable material

  • Suitable for babies from 13 to 28 pounds
